Document: draft-loreto-simple-im-srv-label-01.txt Reviewer: Miguel Garcia Review Date: 2008-07-09 Review Due: 2008-07-11 Review Type: Expert (re-review) Summary: Almost ready. Comments: I still have some minor comments. Please address them and (if you agree), provide a version of the draft. - The title of the draft must be carefully selected. Unfortunately it is going to be long. I noticed that the RFC Editor now allows the usage of "DNS SRV RR" without expansion, but I think that "SIP" should be still expanded. The same applies to "SIMPLE". - Also on the title. I dislike to refer to SIMPLE as it were a new protocol, even when the industry refers to it as such. I think the title should contain the word "Presence" (which I mentioned in my earlier comments) and "SIP", but not "SIMPLE". My suggestion for the title: Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) Registration of Instant Messaging and Presence DNS SRV RRs for the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) - Abstract. There are no reference to "Presence", although there are to "Instant Messaging". It should be fixed. - General to the draft. As for the title, I dislike the usage of "SIP/SIMPLE". I think we should use "SIP usage of Presence and Instant Messaging" instead. This is a simple find&replace operation. - Ambiguity in Section 4. The text reads: This specification registers a new SRV Protocol Label in both the Instant Messaging SRV Protocol Label registry and the Presence SRV Protocol Label registry. I suggest: This specification registers a new SRV Protocol Label in each of the Instant Messaging SRV Protocol Label registry and the Presence SRV Protocol Label registry, respectively.
