Resolution:  The suggestion to remove the message length altogether is deferred
because this is not a Priority 3 issue according to
http://www1.ietf.org/mail-archive/web/speechsc/current/msg01755.html.
However, a note will be added to the draft indicating that inefficiency of
computation may be avoided or reduced by printing the message-length token as a
fixed-length integer that is zero-padded in front.
Incorrect values for the message-length field in the examples may be corrected
as time permits in this or later drafts.
